Alpha Release!

Currently I have two games in side-by-side development for a hard sci-fi organized crime series - Disciples of the Gun (you can access this with the password AshkiValisIsDope since this is literally just for testing, a Lot will be wrong with it) and El Malei. Both are set 10,000 years into our Earth's future after we have branched out and colonized a good deal of the Milky Way, and encountered the greater intergalactic community.

El Malei (this game) is now finished, but it may receive updates as I and others playtest it.

In Disciples, the titular game in the series that has been under development since 2018, you play Ashki Valis. You can choose between five different species and classes (mixing/matching), set your own gender (including starfish alien shenanigans) develop relationships with those you encounter (including romance and combat options) and make daunting decisions that will affect your fate as a newly abducted soldier of the Iro Provisional Militia.

Disciples features a narrative-driven map and inventory system with multiple locations over a good portion of the 'verse (this game is LONGK.) dice-rolling/probability, skills/stats, two fully-fledged original conlangs, a lorebook with many different species, planets, vessels, factions, and scientific data (for example, how different gravity fields are calculated and how that will impact someone who visits a place with a much higher or lower differential).

Every part of these games has been designed from the ground up by me - all the art, music, and design. While both have similar vibes, El Malei is a typical literary tragedy with a Byronic hero. It tells one story that gets to where it's going whether you want it to or not. Disciples is heavy and dense with moments of levity and zaniness, and as of now has probably over a hundred different genuine outcomes that are significantly impacted by your choices as a player.

El Malei is its lesser counterpart, developed on the Paloma format. It comes with an organic codex, and branching storyline choices that have serious consequences. But it does in the end, just tell one story: the story of Captain Kol, the enigmatic commanding officer of the ship who abducts Ashki in the following game.

This is my first time ever dipping my toe into game development, but I have roughly 20 years experience as a writer, roleplayer, worldbuilder and GM - so I do try to bring something fresh to the table.
